Trade Days
Last Saturday we made it out to the local trade days...what an adventure. You never know what you're going to get when the first thing you see is a guy selling bootleg Tejano cd's out of the back of a truck for 5 dollars each....what we got was a old fashioned trade days good time. There were people selling everything from used silverware and kitchen appliances (very garage sale-like) to folks selling hardware store surplus. They also had food, you know the kind you can usually only get at a carnival or fair of some sort...the sausage on a stick, kettle corn, roasted ears of corn, turkey legs, and, since it's South Texas, they also had gorditas, tacos, burritos, and menudo. We had a pretty good time just walking through and checking everything out. I guess we felt like it brought us closer to being official residents of the Greater Orange Grove Area.
